Big buddies met up with the kindergarten students to learn about gardening and photosynthesis. Students had a hands on experience planting a flower and ensuring it receives plenty of water and sunshine to grow!

Firehouse Safety
Thank you to the Firehall and Township of Langley for bringing the Fire safety House to our school. Staff signed up to bring their class for onsite lessons. Spirit Day! Favourite teams and players….
This past month we had another school spirit day! This time, staff and students wore their favourite team colours, jerseys and/or dressed as their favourite player! Appreciation Luncheon
A great big thank you to the Parent Advisory Council for the fabulous Staff Appreciation Luncheon held May 20th! A variety of delightful dishes and treats were greatly appreciated by all who could join. A day to feel special and a social time to engage with parents made for a fun-filled afternoon.

Bundle of Joy!
Last week, Ms. Gray stopped by the school for the PAC sponsored staff appreciation tea. Once the luncheon was over, her students swept her away for a surprise baby shower! The students decorated the room and had a chance to meet the new addition to the family….. a beautiful baby boy!
May Challenge of 60 minute Kids Club!
Div. 6 participated in the May Challenge 60 minute kids club, a national organization that promotes healthy habits! Many schools in the District participated and as on now Langley Meadows is #1 in Langley, #2 in B.C. and #10 in Canada! Incredible!

Jordan’s Principle
Ms. Moirs class brought teddy bears to school last week in recognition of Jordan’s Principle. Jordan, a First Nations Child with serious medical conditions spent two years of his life in hospital while the federal government made decisions around who should pay for at home care.
