Last week, students, staff and community participated in our Reconciliation Assembly. We were honour to have Chief Susan Miller and sister of the Chief Cheryl Gabriel at our event. Elders Cheryl and Lekeyten spoke eloquently towards truth an reconciliation. Staff and students alike spoke with respect o our commitments to working together.  A special thank you to Tara Helps and Dawn Driver for creating vision, providing ongoing support, through the organization and coordination of this special event.  Mike Morgan gave special thanks as well when he present the Reconciliation Plaque to the school on behalf of the District. Superintendent Gordon Stewart and Assistant Superintendent Claire Guy showed their support and joined in the heartfelt fun. Traditional singing drumming and dancing encompassed the day.  Open heart and mind was the theme of the day and I thank everyone for their contributions for making this day a monumental moment in time.
