Meet the Teacher

Thank you to all of the families who were able to make it out Thursday night to meet their child’s classroom teacher(s). We know nights are busy with dinner, sports, family time, etc so we appreciate you taking the time to be with us and we understand if  you couldn’t make it. The kids are always super excited to share their classrooms with you and show you their latest projects!

Cross Country

My favorite sporting event of the year has started! I love cross country running as I have an opportunity to show kids that running can be fun and not just laps around a track! The kids race at Aldergrove Lake Park and have the opportunity to experience trail running. The team practices twice a week and had their first race this Wednesday. The kids all did great and will work towards beating their own times at next Wednesday’s race. Thank you to Mrs. Erickson for organizing the kids and thank you to all of the parents who helped drive to the race. We couldn’t do it without your support.

Buddy Reading

September is a great time to make new friends. Ms. Chijiwa and Mr. Armstrong’s class got together for buddy reading, where big friends helped little friends read a book. This helping relationship often transfers to outside on the playground where I see many big buddies helping their little buddies if required. Its a good thing all around :O)
