Inline Skating
Coastal Inline Skating has been here all week working with the kids teaching them the skills of rollerblading, they will continue to work with the kids next week as well. It is always amazing to me how fast the kids learn and how much they change from falling down on day one to skating around like pros by the end of the two weeks! So much fun! Thank you to all of the parents who have been able to come help put skates on and off, it’s a huge help.
Pumpkin Carving
The grade 4’s had pumpkins delivered and then spent the afternoon carving them into unique jack o lanterns! Very interesting designs!
Belgian Waffles
We were very fortunate to have The Belgam’s Waffle truck come and make us breakfast this morning. The owner, Nathen, contacted us and explained that at the end of the season they have perishables that need to be used instead of throwing them away so he asked if he could come and make us 150+ belgian waffles…ummm yes!! So the truck came at 7 am and cooked up a storm. We usually do not serve that many students each morning at breakfast club so we decided to offer the extras to our grade 4 and 5 students who do so much for us around the school in a leadership capacity. We ended up feeding the grade 4’s and 5’s and many more who just couldn’t resist the smell of the waffles as they arrived at school! The waffles were super yummy and we are very thankful for the kind offer as our kids thoroughly enjoyed breakfast! In addition a big thank you to Re/Max Treeland who supports our breakfast club year round.
Pumpkin Patch Field Trips
Its been a busy week for trips to the pumpkin patch. Despite the weather students enjoyed hayrides, petting zoos, pumpkin picking and more!
