Beljam Waffle Truck
We were so lucky to have Nathen and Sophena, the owners of the Beljam Waffle truck, here again with us this year for breakfast club! Nathen and Sophena graciously made over 200 waffles and donated all of the toppings; apples and cinnamon, strawberries, whip cream, syrup and chocolate sauce! YUM! We invited all of the grade 4 and 5 students as a thank you for all that they do around our school in a leadership role and then we served our usual breakfast club members plus a few more who couldn’t resist! A huge thank you to Mrs. Yackuk and Mrs. Robinson for organizing our breakfast program every morning and for making sure this special day ran smoothly.
Dave’s Orchard
Division 16 went to Dave’s Orchard this week! They learned about the fall harvest and the importance of bees for our environment. Plus they got to pick their own vegetables 🙂
DEAR (Drop Everything and Read!)
Students around the school, and district, participated in DEAR on Monday. A fun way for the whole school to be reading all at the same time.
Research Projects
Division 13 is busy studying bears using books and online resources. I look forward to seeing their final projects.
Halloween Art
Such great pictures around the school! Scary and fun!
Pumpkin Investigations
Division 9 was busy investigating their pumpkins and doing Halloween crafts this week. Love the pumpkin with spider legs!
Gymnastics
Mrs. Erickson has been teaching gymnastics skills in PE class. The students have created amazing routines!
Pumpkin Carving
What a fabulous day for the grade 4 and 5 students to carve pumpkins! Such imaginations.
