Rubens Shoes
We are so happy to announce that our school community donated over 600 pairs of shoes for the Ruben’s Shoes Non Profit Society! Thank you so much for your generosity. Just imagine how many kids can now go to school because they have shoes! Yippee!
Slime Sale
Two of our students, Alayna and Emma, decided to embrace their entrepreneurial spirit and have a slime sale! They made and sold slime at school and made over $100 that they donated to a fund which allows students to go on community outings. We are so proud of their enthusiasm and their giving spirit. (Thanks also to Mrs. Low for having her house “slimed” during the making of the product!)
Jordan’s Principle
This week students will be bringing in teddy bears to decorate in honor of Jordan, a young boy who died in hospital care while the provincial and federal government disputed who was responsible for paying for his care. This week students will also be writing letters to the Prime Minister asking him to take action in regards to fair and equal health care for all children.
