Grade Five Swim Program

Each year the grade 5 students take part in a week long program entitled Operation Waterproof. It is a free program provided by the City of Langley with the students paying for the bus only. It is such a valuable week of learning for all students.

Some of the things they learn include:

– Treatment for Unconscious choking and hypothermia

– Treatment for shock and bleeding

– Resuscitation & Conscious choking

– Boating safety skit and discussion

– Ice safety

– Canoe safety, canoe skills and cold water survival

Force and Motion

Division 10 has been busy learning all about force and motion. They explored different types of forces: push and pull. They had fun experimenting with motion around them using bubbles, spinning tops, pinwheels, and more! It was a fun filled week of hands on learning.
