Dear Parents and Guardians at Langley Meadows,

This week was a great first week back and we were excited to welcome Mr. McArthur, a retired principal who will be helping us out over the next few months, along with Ms. Wong, our new grade 1 teacher.  Of course, the highlight of the week was some snow, providing great fun and learning for our students.  As adults, the shovelling and taking extra time and care for driving are not as exciting, but we appreciate the extra caution for our students.

We are hearing of colder temperatures next week and more snow.  We love getting our students outside so please send them bundled up with extra mittens and socks.

This week’s newsletter contains information about Ready-Set-Learn, Kindergarten Registration, and great updates from PAC.  We also have some important information about Student Safety and ask that you take time to read this and heed the community expectations.  Keeping kids safe is a community effort.

Finally, here is a new format for our Blog, which reads well on phones.  It provides a few options of looking at the information and can be accessed from the link. Feedback is always welcome!

Have a great week!

Beth Cairnie, Principal
