Group of 7

Miss Helen from the Langley Centennial Museum taught Division 7 sketching, inspired by the “Group of 7” Canadian artists.

Taste Tests

Students in Division 13 were taste testing different kinds of food, sensing the environment around them. They are smiling so it seems the items couldn’t have tasted that bad!

Reading Link Challenge

Paige, Lily, Kari, and Shyanne represented Langley Meadows in the Fraser Valley Reading Link Challenge competing against 17 other Langley schools. For months, they each read and became experts on a group of chosen novels and did a great job answering comprehension questions about the books in the competition. Thank you to Mrs. Yeung for organizing this experience for our kids.

Speech Festival

Students from grade 3 – 5 participated in the Speech Festival this week. 4 primary students and 4 intermediate students were chosen from their grade group to proceed to the school event held in the gym and they all did an outstanding job! I am so thankful I wasn’t a judge as choosing was so difficult. Two primary and two intermediate students were chosen to move forward to the semi final event being help next week at Yorkson Creek Middle School. We already know they are winners moving forward and will represent our school amazingly!
