1.LMCS Speech Festival
We had a great afternoon of speeches from students across the grades. Judges, Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Zazelenchuk and Mr. Reeve, had a difficult time choosing two candidates from each category to represent our school at the semi final event held today at Yorkson Creek Middle School. Participating students from Grade 2 were: Chantel, Preston, Austin, Emma and Jovin; Grade 3: Kaden, Hailey, Mila and Logan; Grade 4: Sawyer, Lily, Chloe and Jaidyn and finally Grade 5: Neha, Arshi, Kaelyn and Duvan. They were all so fantastic it was a hard decision. The four students chosen to move forward were Hailey, Jovin, Chloe and Neha. We are so proud of all of you.
2. Buddies
Mrs. Jackson’s class taught their big buddies about how to care for salmon as part of their “Stewardship for Salmon in the School Yard” Program. So nice for them to be the teachers :O)
Next they were busy at the Langley Centennial Museum.
3. Heritage Fair
Chosen students from Grade Five, Elizabeth, Brielle, Connor, Caylin, Neha, Emily, Aubrey, Laura, Ethan, Makayla, Reece, Isabella, Gracelyn and Kaelyn, attended Heritage Fair today in the Fort. The Langley Heritage Society hosted students from across the district today in the Fort Langley Community Hall where they were able to share their projects. So proud of the students who went to represent LMCS. They will then represent LMCS at the regional Fair in May being hosted in Abbotsford.
4. Semi Final Speech Festival at YCMS
Today four of our students represented our school at YCMS, giving outstanding speeches! They competed against other students from other schools and made us proud!
