1. LEC visits

This past week, over three consecutive days, Mr. Everson took all of the grade 5, 6 and 7 students from Langley Meadows and the other catchment schools  to LEC so that the kids could begin getting to know each other as they begin to proceed to their new school Yorkson Creek Middle School in September. The kids had a day full of co-operatvie games and a chance to give Mr. Everson their opinion on things like the choice of chairs in the school, the school mascot and the necessities needed on the playground!

2. Young Entrepreneurs

The grade 6 students have been working so hard to prepare for this big day and it turned out to be a huge success! The kids arrived early in the morning to get their merchandise set up for the big day of sales. Throughout the day the classes came through the gym being able to see the merchandise and to buy something if they chose. It was great fun for all involved and a bunch of learning as well for the grade 6’s.

3. Olympic Celebration

We have been celebrating our Canadian athletes over the last two weeks but on Thursday we decided to all wear red, white or anything Canadian to really show our spirit! What a great two weeks of watching our Canadian athletes hard work come to life. The Olympics always remind us to dream big and that with hard work anything is possible.
