What is the 100th Day of School?

February 22, 2016

The 100th day of school is literally the 100th day of the school year and it is a great way for teachers and students to celebrate mathematical concepts that can be taught using the number 100. From the very first day of school, many of our Primary classes began keeping track of the number of days they’ve been in school in anticipation of the 100th day. The days are often marked by students using beads, bolts and various household items. A group of ten then becomes a bundle, leading the way to counting by tens and ones.  Pictured here are students who not only used 100 Day as a math lesson, but got into the full swing of things by dressing up to look like they were 100 years old!
